Preview Stop

Saint Michael's Bridge
00:00 / 01:04
If you thought the previous stop had a great view, wait until you discover my next favorite spot. Walk a bit further and ascend the bridge! This is undoubtedly the best place to enjoy a panoramic three hundred sixty-degree view of almost all the top attractions in Ghent. From here, looking out over the water, you can take in the entire skyline of old Ghent in a single glance. On your Ghent walking tour, you'll see the Graslei and Korenlei in front of you, St. Michael’s Church behind you, the Castle of the Counts in the distance, and the main ‘three towers’ ahead: Saint Nicholas Church, Belfry Tower, and Saint Bavo’s Cathedral. Take your time to let this view imprint itself on your memory. Don't forget to capture a photo from this vantage point! There might be a bit of a crowd here, so once you've absorbed the beautiful view, continue moving along.
