About Us
Tourific is a self-guided audio walking tour company. We produce, publish, and distribute audio tours that let travelers explore cities at their own pace, in their own language, on their own schedule. No group to keep up with, no fixed departure time. Just download a tour, put in your earphones, and walk.
We currently offer 150+ tours across 130+ cities in nearly 40 countries, available in 9 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, and Polish. Our tours are available on iOS and Android, and distributed through Viator, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Klook, and Google Things to Do, as well as directly through this website and app. Across these platforms, our tours have earned 2,000+ reviews with an aggregate 4.3 rating, 10+ Viator Badges of Excellence, and bestseller status on multiple OTAs. Every tour is built through a five-stage production pipeline that combines extensive research with deep human editorial curation, and AI-powered translation and narration. Tours work fully offline after download with GPS powered navigation, text, images and audio at each stop. The company currently launches approximately eight new tours each month with a small operating team.
Tourific is headquartered in Bengaluru, India with a UK commercial entity, Tourific Tours Ltd.
Our Story
Tourific was incorporated in August 2023 and the app was launched in March 2024, born out of a problem we kept running into ourselves. Between us, we had traveled to over 20 countries and countless cities. We loved exploring on foot, but the options were always the same: expensive private guides, rigid group tours that moved too fast or too slow, or free walking tours that required booking a slot and tipping at the end. We wanted something that combined the depth of a great guide with the freedom of wandering on your own.
We started with 19 tours and a simple idea: build the best self-guided audio walking tour for every city worth exploring. In the roughly 30 months since launch, we have grown to 150+ tours across 37 countries. Our catalog spans iconic capitals (London, Paris, Rome, Prague, Vienna) and lesser-known gems (Visby, Mdina, Český Krumlov, Sighișoara, Colmar) that most tour companies overlook entirely.
Along the way, our tours have earned bestseller status on multiple OTAs and collected thousands of fantastic reviews and earned many loyal customers who keep coming back to experience our tours in more cities.
Tourific is bootstrapped and self-funded. We have grown entirely through the quality of our tours, strong distribution partnerships, and word of mouth, without outside investment.
